About The Art

The art I've photographed for Stations of the Cross for Children, consist of a beautiful bronze sculpture, The 14 Stations of the Cross, mounted on a wall in the Catholic Blessed Sacrament chapel in Jerusalem’s church of the Holy Sepulchre, only steps away from the final station: Christ's tomb.

The outdoor adoration photo was taken on a trip to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Knock, a pilgrimage site and National Shrine in the village of Knock, County Mayo, Ireland, where observers stated that there was an apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, Saint John the Evangelist, angels, and Jesus Christ in 1879.

I selected the Stations of the Cross that grace the chapel at the Convent of St. Birgitta, in Darien, Connecticut, where the women of St. John Church

have held retreats for many years.

The photo of Christ resurrected was taken on a recent trip to Sicily, at the Cathedral of San Nicolo, in Noto. The fresco in the apse, Christ Pantocrator, is by Bruno d’Arcevia. This artwork presents Christ defeating death, flanked on the right by San Giovanni Battista and on the left by the Virgin Mary.
